Rabbit Anti-ELOVL5 (Elongation of very long chain fatty acids protein 5, ELOVL fatty acid elongase 5)
Condensing enzyme that catalyzes the synthesis of monounsaturated and of polyunsaturated very long chain fatty acids Acts specifically toward polyunsaturated acyl-CoA with the higher activity toward C18:3(n-6) acyl-CoA.
Applications
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 10-15ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Recognizes human ELOVL5. Species sequence homology: Gorilla, orangutan, gibbon, monkey, marmoset, turkey, chicken (100%), elephant and catfish (93%), mouse and rat (87%), canine, hamster, equine, rabbit, opossum, platypus (87%), bovine, goat, panda, xenopus, salmon (80%).
