Hsp90 co-chaperone Cdc37, also called P50CDC37 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CDC37 gene. The protein encoded by this gene is highly similar to Cdc 37, a cell division cycle control protein of Sacchromyces cerevisiae. This gene is mapped to 19p13.2. This protein is a molecular chaperone with specific function in cell signal transduction. It has been shown to form complex with Hsp90 and a variety of protein kinases including CDK4, CDK6, SRC, RAF-1, MOK, as well as eIF2 alpha kinases. It is thought to play a critical role in directing Hsp90 to its target kinases.
Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminal of human CDC37, different from the related mouse sequence by two amino acids, and from the related rat sequence by three amino acids.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, 5% BSA, 0.05% Thimerosal, 0.05% sodium azide. Reconstitutie with 200ul sterile ddH2O.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human CDC37. No crossreactivity with other proteins.
Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
