Mouse Anti-CD2 (Erythrocyte receptor, LFA-2, LFA-3 receptor, Ly-37, Lymphocyte function antigen 2, Rosette receptor, SRBC, T-cell surface antigen CD2, T-cell surface antigen T11/Leu-5, T11) (HRP)
(Erythrocyte receptor, LFA-2, LFA-3 receptor, Ly-37, Lymphocyte function antigen 2, Rosette receptor, SRBC, T-cell surface antigen CD2, T-cell surface antigen T11/Leu-5, T11)

CD2 interacts through its amino-terminal domain with the extracellular domain of CD58 (also designated CD2 ligand) to mediate cell adhesion. CD2/CD58 binding can enhance antigen-specific T cell activation. CD2 is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is expressed on peripheral blood T lymphocytes, NK cells and thymocytes. CD58 is a heavily glycosylated protein with a broad tissue distribution in hematopoietic and other cells, including endothelium. Interaction between CD2 and its counter receptor LFA3 (CD58) on opposing cells optimizes immune system recognition, thereby facilitating communication between helper T lymphocytes and antigen-presenting cells, as well as between cytolytic effectors and target cells.

Applications:  Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Immunoprecipitation: 0.5-1ug/500ug protein lysate Immunohistochemistry: Frozen: 0.5-1ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control
293T or Jurkat cells. Lymph node and tonsil
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Human CD2 protein. Cellular Localization: Cell surface
Form
Supplied as a liquid in 10mM PBS. No preservative added. BSA-Free. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP).
Purity
Purified by Protein A/G affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human CD2.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
