Mouse Anti-CD28 (T-cell-specific surface glycoprotein CD28, Tp44) (BSA & Azide Free) (MaxLight 650)
T-cell-specific surface glycoprotein CD28, Tp44

MaxLight™650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™647, DyLight™649, Cy5™ and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (655nm); Emission (676nm); Extinction Coefficient 250,000.

Recognizes a glycoprotein of 44-88kDa, which is identified as CD28. It is the critical T-cell co-stimulatory receptor which provides to the cell the important second activation signal by binding CD80 and CD86 that are expressed by antigen presenting cells. Besides its co-stimulation role, CD28 functions in preventing T-cells from anergic hyporesponsive state or from undergoing premature apoptotic cell death. CD28 is also expressed on human fetal NK cells and some NK cell lines, whereas on murine NK cells the CD28 expression is much broader.
Applications:  Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, FLISA, Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): Staining of formalin-fixed tissues is enhanced by boiling tissue sections in 1mM EDTA Buffer, pH 8.5-9.5, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control
Jurkat cells or human lymph nodes and tonsils.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™650 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Recombinant human CD28 protein. Cellular Localization: Cell surface
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added. Labeled with MaxLight™650.
Purity
Purified by Protein A/G affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human CD28.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
