Mouse Anti-EGFR (Erbb1, ERBB1, Errp, HER1, mENA, PIG61, Proto-oncogene c-ErbB-1, Receptor Tyrosine Protein Kinase, ErbB1, Urogastrone, wa2, Wa5) (APC)
(Erbb1, ERBB1, Errp, HER1, mENA, PIG61, Proto-oncogene c-ErbB-1, Receptor Tyrosine Protein Kinase, ErbB1, Urogastrone, wa2, Wa5)

This MAb reacts with a cytoplasmic domain of EGFR. EGFR is a type I receptor tyrosine kinase with sequence homology to erbB-1, -2, -3 -4 or HER-1, -2, -3 -4. It binds to Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF), Transforming Growth Factor-a (TGF-a), Heparin-binding EGF (HB-EGF), amphiregulin, betacellulin & epiregulin.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Immunoprecipitation: 1-2ug/500ug protein lysate Western Blot: 0.5-1.0ug/ml for 2 hours at RT Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control
A431 cells, Breast or Bladder cancer
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. APC is light sensitive.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Purified EGFR from A431 cells.. Cellular Localization: Cell surface
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. Labeled with Allophycocyanin (APC).
Purity
Purified by Protein A/G affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human EGFR. Does not react with mouse and rat EGFR. Others-not known.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
