Mouse Anti-Gia2 (Giardin Subunit alpha-2) (MaxLight 550)

MaxLight™550 is a new Yellow-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™546, 555, DyLight™549 , Cy3™, TRITC and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (550nm); Emission (575nm); Extinction Coefficient 150,000.

Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) are involved as modulators or transducers in various transmembrane signaling systems. The G(i) proteins are involved in hormonal regulation of adenylate cyclase: they inhibit the cyclase in response to beta-adrenergic stimuli.
Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™550 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to human Gia-2.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added. Labeled with MaxLight™550.
Purity
Purified.
Specificity
Recognizes human Gia-2. Species sequence homology: bovine (100%), mouse (69%), rat (69%), human (62%) and guinea pig (43%). Specificity confirmed by Western blot versus bovine Gαt, rat Goα, rat Giα-1, Giα-2, rat Gia-3, bovine Gsα, and murine GoαA and GoαB.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
