Rabbit Anti-Oct 3/4 (Octamer-Binding Transcription Factor 3/4) (HRP)

Oct3/4 maintains developmental potency and governs distinct fates of embryonic stem cells. A moderate increase in expression causes differentiation into primitive endoderm and mesoderm. In contrast, repression of Oct3/4 induces loss of pluripotency and dedifferentiation to trophectoderm.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-1:250 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to an internal sequence of human Oct 3/4.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP).
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human Oct 3/4.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
