Mouse Anti-CD55 (DAF, Decay accelerating factor) (FITC)

367108 binds with a single chain 70kD glycoprotein and identified as CD55 (also known as decay accelerating factor, DAF). CD55 is widely expressed on cells throughout the body including leukocytes, erythrocytes, epithelium, endothelium, and fibroblasts. It is a Glycosyl phosphatidylinositol anchored (GPI- anchored) protein and inhibits autologous complement cascade activation. CD55 also serves as receptor for CD97, echovirus and Coxsackie B virus. CD55 is a useful marker for the diagnosis of paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH).

Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Flow Cytometry: 5ul is found sufficient for staining 1 million PBMCs in 100ul staining volume or 0.1ml whole blood Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC)
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.2% BSA, 0.09% sodium azide. Labeled with Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC).
Purity
Purified
Specificity
Recognizes human CD55.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
