Rabbit Anti-CLC (Galectin-10, Gal-10, Charcot-Leyden Crystal Protein, Eosinophil Lysophospholipase, Lysolecithin Acylhydrolase, LGALS10, LGALS10A)

Eosinophil lysophospholipase is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the CLC gene. Lysophospholipases are enzymes that act on biological membranes to regulate the multifunctional lysophospholipids. The protein encoded by this gene is a lysophospholipase expressed in eosinophils and basophils. It hydrolyzes lysophosphatidylcholine to glycerophosphocholine and a free fatty acid. This protein may possess carbohydrate or IgE-binding activities. It is both structurally and functionally related to the galectin family of beta-galactoside binding proteins. It may be associated with inflammation and some myeloid leukemias.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 0.1-0.5ug/ml Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to human CLC, (Position: S2-R142), expressed in E. coli.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 4% trehalose. Reconstitute with 200ul sterile ddH2O.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human CLC.
