Mouse Anti-PRK2
Cardiolipin activated protein kinase Pak2, MGC150606, MGC71074, PAK 2, PAK2, PKN gamma, PKN2, PKN2_HUMAN, PRK2, PRKCL2, PRO2042, Protein kinase C like 2, Protein kinase C related kinase 2, Protein kinase C-like 2, Protein kinase N2, Protein-kinase C-related kinase 2, Serine/threonine-protein kinase N2

Protein-kinase-C-related kinases (PRKs) are part of the lipid-regulated protein kinases (PKC) which also include liver PAK & PKN. Human PRK1 and PRK2 share structurally similar catalytic domains, but less similar N-terminal regulatory regions suggesting different regulatory domain functions. PRK1 and PRK2, as well as a third member of this family, PRK3, show distinct patterns of expression in adult tissues. Additionally, the serine-threonine kinase PRK2 can be specifically cleaved by caspase-3 (and/or caspase-3-like subfamily members) during apoptosis.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, ELISA and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:10,000 Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000, incubate membrane with diluted primary antibody in TBS, 5% milk, 0.1% Tween 20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight. Immunohistochemistry: 1:200-1:1000 Flow Cytometry: 1:200-1:400 ELISA (peptide): 1:20,000-1:40,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Purified recombinant fragment corresponding to human PRK2 expressed in E. coli.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol.
Purity
Purified by affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes endogenous levels of total human PRK2. Species Crossreactivity: Mouse, Rat and Monkey

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
