Rabbit Anti-ST6GALNAC6 (HRP)
Alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminide alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase 6 (EC 2.4.99.-) (GalNAc alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase VI) (ST6GalNAc VI) (ST6GalNAcVI) (hST6GalNAc VI) (Sialyltransferase 7F) (SIAT7-F), ST6GALNAC6, SIAT7F
Alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase involved in the synthesis of alpha-series gangliosides. Has activity toward GD1a, GT1b and GM1b. Has no activity toward glycoproteins. Responsible for the biosynthesis of DSGG (disialylgalactosylgloboside) from MSGG (monosialylgalactosylgloboside) in normal and malignant kidney. Participates in the synthesis of disialyl Lewis a (Le(a)).
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to aa65-333 from human alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminide alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase 6 protein.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 0.03% Proclin 300, 50% glycerol. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP).
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human ST6GALNAC6.
