Goat Anti-ATF5 (Cyclic AMP-dependent Transcription Factor ATF-5, cAMP-dependent Transcription Factor ATF-5, Activating Transcription Factor 5, Transcription Factor ATFx, ATFX)

Transcriptional activator which binds the cAMP response element (CRE) (consensus: 5'-GTGACGT[AC][AG]-3'), a sequence present in many viral and cellular promoters and blocks the differentiation of neuroprogenitor cells into neurons. Its transcriptional activity is enhanced by CCND3 and slightly inhibited by CDK4.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:32,000 Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml, observed in human heart lysates on ~30kD bands Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to EVYKARSQRTRSC, from human ATF5, at C-terminal (NP_036200.2).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human ATF5. Species sequence homology: Mouse and rat.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
