Goat Anti-AKAP3 (SOB1, FSP95, PRKA3, AKAP110, A Kinase (PRKA) Anchor Protein 3, Fibrousheathin 1, Sperm Oocyte Binding Protein 1)
A-kinase anchor proteins (AKAPs) direct the activity of protein kinase A (PKA) by tethering the enzyme near its physiologic substrates. May function as a regulator of both motility- and head-associated functions such as capacitation and the acrosome reaction in sperm.
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:32000 Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to human AKAP3.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris-saline, pH 7.2, 0.5% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human AKAP3 at ~90kD in Human Testis lysates (calculated MW of 95kD according to NP_006413).
