Rabbit Anti-AAP-S, CT (Puromycin-sensitive Aminopeptidase, Cytosol Alanyl Aminopeptidase, PSA, NPEPPS)

PSA is the puromycin-sensitive aminopeptidase, a zinc metallopeptidase which hydrolyzes amino acids from the N-terminus of its substrate. The protein has been localized to both the cytoplasm and to cellular membranes. This enzyme degrades enkaphalins in the brain, and studies in mouse suggest that it is involved in proteolytic events regulating the cell cycle.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:1,000 Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:50-1:100 Western Blot: 1:50-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide located between corresponding to a portion of amino acids within aa716-745 in the C-terminal region of human PSA
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation.
Specificity
Recognizes human PSA.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
