Rabbit Anti-Amyloid beta A4 Precursor Protein-Binding, Family B, Member 1 (APBB1, Fe65, MGC:9072, RIR, Adaptor Protein FE65a2, Stat-like Protein)

FE65 is a signaling adaptor of APP protein. The FE65/APP complex was shown to translocate into the cell nucleus and regulate gene expression. Genetic studies in mice validated FE65-APP interaction and molecular studies provided evidence on the role of the complex in abnormal signaling detected in brains of Alzheimer Disease patients.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 1:1000, a band is seen at ~100kD versus the predicted molecular weight of 77kD, which corresponds to earlier findings in literature Immunoprecipitation: 2-10ug Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control
IMR32 neuronal cell lysate, HEK 293 cell lysate, or brain lysate
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to rat FE65, expressed in bacteria. Cellular Localization: Cytoplasmic
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.02% sodium azide, 15% glycerol.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes rat FE65. Species Crossreactivity: mouse and human

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
