Goat Anti-a1-Antitrypsin (Serine (or Cysteine) Proteinase Inhibitor, Clade A, Member 1, Protease Inhibitor (alpha-1-antitrypsin), Protease inhibitor 1 (anti-elastase), alpha-1-antitrypsin, SERPINA1, AAT, PI, A1A, PI1, A1AT, MGC9222, SERPINA1) (Not for Export EU)
Alpha-1 antitrypsin is a serine protease inhibitor. It has a molecular weight of 54000, its mean concentration in normal serum is 2.5mg/ml.
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoelectrophoresis and Radial Immunodiffusion. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Highly purified porcine a1-antitrypsin isolated from pooled normal plasma
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder. No preservatives added. Reconstitute in 1ml sterile ddH2O. Dilute further in PBS, pH 7.2.
Specificity
Recognizes porcine a1-antitrypsin. In immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony) against fresh normal porcine plasma a single precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin line obtained with purified a1-antitrypsin. No reaction is obtained with any other plasma protein component or serum.
