Goat Anti-BAALC (Brain And Acute Leukemia Cytoplasmic Protein)

BAALC may play a synaptic role at the postsynaptic lipid rafts by interacting with CAMK2A.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:64,000 Western Blot: 0.03-0.1ug/ml, observed in mouse brain lysates on ~18kD bands Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to C-KQNGLQTTEAKRDAK, from BAALC, at the internal region of the protein (NP_079088.1).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes BAALC. Species Crossreactivity: Human and mouse. Species sequence homology: Porcine and rat.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
