Rabbit Anti-Betaine, GABA Transporter (BGT1) (Not for Export EU)
Betaine/GABA Transporter (BGT-1) is a 614aa long integral membrane protein belonging to the Sodium: Neurotransmitter Symporter family (1).
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA. Western Blot, though not tested, may potentially be used as an application. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 using ECL. ELISA: 1:10,000-1:100,000 using 50-100ng of control peptide/well. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Recommended control peptide
B1082-05: Betaine, GABA Transporter, Rat (BGT1) Control Peptide.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to 15aa near the carboxy terminal region of rat BGT-1. KLH conjugated.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% glycerol.
Specificity
Recognizes rat Betaine, GABA Transporter (BGT1). Species sequence homology: mouse (88%), human, canine (68%), rabbit (62%).
