Mouse Anti-Brain Natriuretic Peptide, Pro, NT, aa 13-27 (NT-proBNP, N-terminal prohormone brain natriuretic peptide) (FITC)
NT-proBNP is a cleavage product during the proteolytic activation of BNP. NT-proBNP is a secreted protein which is a member of the natriuretic peptide family, which is predominantly secreted from the cardiac ventricles in response to volume and pressure overload. NT-proBNP is more stable than BNP in serum, and has become a useful biomarker of heart failure.
Applications
Suitable for use in FLISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma
Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.

Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. Labeled with Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC).
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes the amino-terminal fragment at aa13-20 of human pro-brain natriuretic peptide at ~9kD.
