Goat Anti-C4.4A (LYPD3, Y6/PLAUR domain containing 3 GPI-anchored metastasis-associated protein C4.4A homolog, Ly6/PLAUR domain-containing protein 3 precursor, Matrigel-induced gene C4 protein, MIG-C4, UNQ491/PRO1007)

C4.4A (Ly6/PLAUR-domain containing protein 3; also MIG-C4 and GPI-anchored metastasis-associated protein C4.4A) is an 85-95kD, variably glycosylated member of the Ly6 family of GPI-anchored proteins. It is expressed on transitional epithelium, keratinocytes and monocytes, and binds laminin 1 and 5, plus Galectin-3. C4.4A is believed to support cell migration.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and ELISA. Other applicatons not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 1ug/ml. Tissue lysates were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to an Immobilon-P membrane and immunoblotted. Immunohistochemistry: 2-15ug/ml will detect C4.4A in cells and tissues. Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to Leu33-His287 from mouse C4.4A expressed in NS0 cells
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, 5% trehalose. Reconstitute with 500ul sterile PBS.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes mouse C4.4A. In direct ELISA, this antibody shows approximately 40% cross-reactivity with rhC4.4A/LYPD3.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
