Sheep Anti-Catenin, beta (Beta Catenin, Cadherin-associated Protein, Catenin beta 1, Catenin beta-1, CATNB, CTNNB, CTNNB1)
beta-Catenin, Catenin (Cadherin-associated Protein) beta 1 88kDa, DKFZp686D02253, FLJ25606, FLJ37923, OK/SW-cl.35, PRO2286

Catenin beta is an adherens junction protein and has a role in the regulation of cell adhesion and in signal transduction through the Wnt pathway. At least 2 isoforms are produced by alternative splicing.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 1ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 5ug/500ug of lysate Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa771-781, C-SNQLAWFDTDL of human Catenin beta, conjugated to KLH
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from 10mM sodium HEPES, pH 7.5, 150mM sodium chloride, 0.05 % sodium azide. Reconstitute with 100ul sterile dH2O.
Purity
Purified by affinity chromatography
Specificity
Recognizes human Catenin beta. Species Crossreactivity: mouse and rat
