Mouse Anti-CD3 (Early T Cell Marker) (APC)
The human CD3/T cell receptor (TcR) complex is made up of at least five CD3 proteins (g, d, e , h, z) in association with either a/b or g/d proteins of the TcR. The TcR recognizes antigens in association with MHC molecules after which protein chains of the CD3 complex mediate activation signals triggered by TcR antigen binding. CD3 is expressed on greater than 95% of circulating human peripheral T cells.
Functional Application: Antibody will activate T cells expressing CD3e.
Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Freezing APC conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. APC conjugates are sensitive to light.
Immunogen
Human thymocytes/Sezary T cells
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 15% glycerol, 0.2% BSA, 0.05% sodium azide. Labeled with allophycocyanin.
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes the 20kD epsilon chain of the CD3 molecule complex. Antibody will activate T cells expressing CD3e.
