Mouse Anti-CD4 (CD4 Receptor, CD4mut, T Cell Surface Antigen T4/Leu3, T Cell Surface Glycoprotein CD4
CD4, a single chain transmembrane glycoprotein, is found on a T cell subset (helper/inducer) representing 45% of peripheral blood lymphocytes. It is also present on 80% of thymocytes and at a lower level on monocytes. It is involved in recognition of antigen presented along with MHC class II by APCs. It serves as receptor for HIV.
Applications
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:10-1:20 for 60min at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues REQUIRES boiling tissue sections in 1mM EDTA, pH 8.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Excellent for staining of routine formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues. Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.
Recommended Positive Control
Tonsil
