Mouse Anti-CD8 (Leu2 T lymphocyte antigen, MAL, OKT8 T Cell antigen, p32, T cell antigen Leu2, T cell surface glycoprotein CD8 alpha) (Azide Free)

CD8 is a 32kD transmembrane glycoprotein expressed as either a CD8alpha/alpha homodimer or CD8alpha/beta heterodimer. It is expressed on the “cytotoxic/suppressor” subpopulation of peripheral T cells. CD8 functions primarily as a coreceptor with MHC Class I-restricted TCR’s in antigen recognition.1-2

Applications
• Flow cytometry • Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections)
Recommended Dilution
Flow Cytometry: ≤ 1ug/10e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS. No preservative added.
Purity
Purified
Specificity
Recognizes human CD8.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
