MaxLight™490 is a new Blue-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to DyLight™488, Alexa Fluor™488 and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (491nm); Emission (515nm); Extinction Coefficient 73,000.
CD11b is the receptor for the iC3b component of complement.
Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul. Immunohistochemistry (Frozen/Paraffin): Paraffin embedded sections require PLP fixation prior to use. (Periodate-lysine-paraformaldehyde) Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.
Recommended Secondary Antibodies
I1904-83K1: IgG2a (HRP) Pab GtxMo I1904-83T: IgG2a, X-Adsorbed (FITC) Pab Rb xMo
Recommended Negative Control
I1904-83P1: IgG2a Murine Negative Control
Hybridoma
NSO/U myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™490 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Rat peritoneal macrophages.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. Labeled with MaxLight™490.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography from tissue culture supernatant.
Specificity
Recognizes rat CD11b expressed on most macrophages, including resident and activated peritoneal macrophages, kupffer cells and ~35% alveolar macrophages. Also labels dendritic cells, granulocytes and microglial cells in the brain.
