Mouse Anti-CD11b (CD11 Antigen-like Family Member B, Cell Surface Glycoprotein MAC-1 Subunit alpha, CR-3 alpha Chain, CR3A, Integrin alpha M, Integrin alpha-M, ITGAM, Leukocyte Adhesion Receptor MO1, Neutrophil Adherence Receptor)
Integrin, alpha M (Complement Component 3 Receptor 3 Subunit)

The recognised antigen is a heterodimer (160 and 95kD) belonging to the family of adhesion molecules CD11b/CD18, also designated as Mac-1 antigen or CR3. Has been shown to induce homotypic aggregation of granulocytes.

Applications
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Immunohistochemistry: frozen sections. Not suitable for use in paraffin sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Rat spleen cell homogenate with FCA|
Form
Suppplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography from tissue culture supernatant
Specificity
Recognizes a membrane antigen on rat macrophages, monocytes, dendritic cells and granulocytes. It also recognises small ramified microglia in the central nervous system. No other cell types are positive.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
