Rat Anti-CD34 (Endothelial Cell Marker, Cluster Designation 34, Hematopoietic Progenitor Cell Antigen CD34, HPCA1) (PE)

CD34 antigen is expressed on haematopoietic progenitor cells (1-3), vascular endothelium, and some tissue fibroblasts (4,5). CD34 antibodies are important in experimental and clinical studies on human haemopoietic progenitors, candidate stem cells, and leukemic cell populations. CD34 antibodies are used clinically for bone marrow manipulation. It appears that the glycosylation of CD34 differs between HEV, vascular endothelium or haemopoietic cell lines, suggesting the existence of HEV-specific glycoforms of CD34 that could function as HEV ligands of lymphocyte L-selectin in humans. This suggests that, in addition to its role in haemopoiesis, CD34 could also play a role in lymphocyte recirculation.

Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Flow Cytometry: Neat 1:5. Use 10ul to label 10e6 cells in 100ul. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Recommended Negative Control
I1904-82H1: IgG2a, Rat Negative Control (PE)
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C before and after reconstitution. DO NOT FREEZE! Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months at 4°C after receipt. Reconstitute lyophilized powder with sterile ddH2O prior to use and store remainder as an undiluted liquid. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Mouse transformed endothelioma cell line tEnd.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, pH7.4, 0.09% sodium azide and 1% BSA. Labeled with R. Phycoerythrin (PE). Reconstitute with 1ml ddH2O.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes a neuraminidase sensitive epitope of mouse CD34 cell surface antigen, which is expressed by endothelial cells and by haematopoietic stem cells.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
