Rat Anti-CD44S (HCAM, Homing Cell Adhesion Molecule, Pgp-1, Phagocytic Glycoprotein-1, Hermes Antigen, Lymphocyte Homing Receptor, ECM-III, HUTCH-1) (PE)

CD44 (H-CAM, Homing Cell Adhesion Molecule) is a 85-90kD transmembrane protein. The human CD44 gene contains 19 exons; 1-5 and 15-19 are expressed by wild-type CD44, also known as the standard hemopoietic form (CD44s).

Applications
Suitable for use in FLISA, RIA, Flow Cytometry, Immunoflourescence, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Immunohistochemistry: Paraffin sections. Antigen retrieval is usually not needed. Western Blot: Non-reduced only. ~90kD band detected; Blocking PBS/5% milk protein. Overnight incubation. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher..
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Purified human blood lymphocyte CD44.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added. Labeled with R-Phycoerythrin (PE).
Purity
Purified.
Specificity
Recognizes human CD44 (85-95kD) gp90 Hermes and mouse gp85 (Pgp-1). Reacts with the standard CD44 isoform that lacks exon sequences v1-v10. Species Crossreactivity: rabbit, porcine, mouse, rat, canine, bovine cells/tissue.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
