Mouse Anti-CD49b (CD49b Antigen, Alpha 2 Subunit of VLA2 Receptor, Alpha 2 Subunit of VLA-2 Receptor, Collagen Receptor, GPIa, Integrin alpha 2, ITGA2, Platelet Antigen Br, Platelet Glycoprotein GPIa, Platelet Glycoprotein Ia, Platelet Membrane Glycoprotein Ia, Very Late Activation Protein 2 Receptor alpha 2 Subunit, VLA2 alpha chain, VLA2, VLA-2 alpha chain, VLA-2, VLAA2)
The integrin alpha 2 subunit is a 160kD glycoprotein that non-covalently associates with the 130kD integrin beta 1 subunit to form the VLA-2 complex.
Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry (frozen). Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Flow Cytometry: 1:50-1:100; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 1:500-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma
NS1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from immunized mice.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography from tissue culture supernatant.
Specificity
Recognizes the human integrin alpha 2 subunit expressed by platelets, long term cultivated T cells, approximately 50% of monocytes and most adherent cell lines. Species Crossreactivity: cynomolgus monkey, rhesus monkey, baboon
