Mouse Anti-CD50 (Intercellular Adhesion Molecule, ICAM-3, Lymphocyte Function-Associated Antigen-1, LFA-1) (Biotin)

CD50 is a 120-140 kD type I membrane protein also known as intercellular adhesion molecule 3 (ICAM-3). It is broadly expressed on leukocytes, endothelial cells and Langerhans cells. CD50 is a member of the Ig superfamily. It provides costimulatory signal for T cells and regulates cell adhesion through interaction with LFA-1 (CD11a/CD18, αL/β2) integrin.

Applications
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry and ELISA. Other applictions have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution
Immunohistochemistry: 0.5-1.25ug/ml. Can be used to stain both indirectly or directly acetone-fixed cryostat sections or cell smears. Flow Cyotmetry: 1:20 for HL-60 cells. Can be used in a 2-step procedure using the biotin-(strept)avidin system. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in 50mM Tris, 100mM sodium chloride, pH 7.3, 1% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide. Labeled with Biotin.
Purity
Highly purified (SDS-PAGE)
Specificity
Recognizes human CD50 (ICAM-3). Does not crossreact with ICAM-1, ICAM-2 or LFA-1.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
