Mouse Anti-CD83 (B Cell activation protein, BL11, Cell Surface Protein HB15) (FITC)
Human CD83 is a type 1 cell surface glycoprotein expressed almost solely by dendritic cells that play an important role in antigen presentation (2).
Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Flow Cytometry: 1:50 (10ug/ml) Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Flow Cytometry Protocol
1. Five x 10e5 cultured Raji cells were washed and incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80ul of C2435-04B at a 1:50 dilution (10ug/ml). 2. Cells were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. 3. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 0.56 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1/FITC negative control at a similar concentration. 4. Binding was blocked when cells were pre incubated 10 minutes with 20ul of 0.5mg/ml anti-CD83 antibody (C2435-04).
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
Immunogen
COS cells transfected with human CD83.

Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.5, 0.2% BSA, 0.05% sodium azide, 5% glycerol. Labeled with FITC.
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human CD83 at 45kD.
