Mouse Anti-CD117 (c-kit, Stem Cell Factor, SCF Receptor, Steel Factor Receptor, Mast Cell Growth Factor, MGF) (APC)

Human CD117 (c-kit) is a transmembrane protein with receptor tyrosine kinase capacity and serves as the receptor for steel factor (SLF). CD117 is expressed on almost all hematopoietic progenitor cells and receptor/ligand interaction is crucial for development of hematopoietic stem cells.

Functional Application: Antibody does not block binding of SCF (4).
Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Freezing APC conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. APC conjugates are sensitive to light.
Immunogen
Human MO7e tumor cells
Form
Supplied as a liquid in 50mM Sodium Phosphate pH 7.5, 500mM Potassium Chloride, 150mM NaCl, 15% Glycerol, 0.2% BSA, 0.04% NaN3.
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes epitope 2 of the CD117 molecule of about 150kD.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
