Mouse Anti-CD158b (p58.2) (MaxLight 490)
MaxLight™490 is a new Blue-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to DyLight™488, Alexa Fluor™488 and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (491nm); Emission (515nm); Extinction Coefficient 73,000.
Killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor 2DL3 is also known as CD158b, KIR-023GB, MHC class I NK cell receptor, p58 natural killer cell receptor or Natural killer-associated transcript 2. CD158b is a 341aa, ~58 kD single pass type-1 transmembrane glycoprotein containing two Ig-like C2-type domains that is expressed by a subset of NK cells. CD158b functions as a receptor specific for HLA Class I molecules, including Cw3 and related HLA-C alleles. C2548-87B can restore the lysis by human NK clones of otherwise lysis protected targets expressing Cw3.
Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul. Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher.
Hybridoma
P3UI myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™490 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
NK cell clone E57
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. Labeled with MaxLight™490.
Specificity
Recognizes human CD158b. It also recognizes a 50kD molecule in some NK clones which is highly homologous to p58.2 in the extracellular domain, but has a shorter cytoplasmic tail. Both molecules are members of the newly described natural killer cell receptor family.
