Rat Anti-CD206 (MR, Mannose Receptor C Type I)

MMR, also known as CD206 and MRC1 (mannose receptor C, type 1), is a scavenger receptor that is expressed on tissue macrophages, myeloid dendritic cells, and liver and lymphatic endothelial cells. MMR contains eight carbohydrate recognition domains (CRD) which enable the internalization of a wide variety of soluble and pathogen-associated glycans. Once internalized, ligands are released following acidification of phagosomes or endosomes, and the receptor is recycled to the cell surface.

Applications
Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry and Direct ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Immunocytochemistry: 8-25ug/ml using immersion fixed human peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to Leu19-Lys1383 (Thr399Ala & Leu407Phe) of human Macrophage Mannose Receptor, expressed in NS0 cells.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, pH 7.4, 5% trehalose. Reconstitute with 200ul sterile PBS.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography from hybridoma culture supernatant
Specificity
Recognizes human MMR. Does not crossreact with recombinant mouse MMR.
