Mouse Anti-Chlamydia trachomatis MOMP (Major Outer Membrane Protein)
Applications
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence of cell culture and frozen tissue sections. Detection of chlamydia in clinical specimen after fixation with methanol/acetone (1:1). Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution
Immunofluorescence (IC): 1:10 Immunohistochemistry: Frozen Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Chlamydia antigen
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, pH 7.4, 0.5% BSA, 0.09% sodium azide. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile ddH2O.
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes C. trachomatis, C. psittaci. Recognizes a species-specific epitope on the 40kD major outer membrane protein of C. trachomatis with a strong fluorescence of elementary bodies (EBs), reticulate bodies (Rbs) and cytoplasmic inclusions of B-complex serotypes. C-complex serotypes show a weak reaction.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
