Mouse Anti-CLU (Clusterin, AAG4, Aging-associated Gene 4 Protein, APOJ, Apo-J, Apolipoprotein J, CLI, Complement-associated Protein SP-40,40, Complement Cytolysis Inhibitor, Ku70-binding Protein 1, KUB1, NA1/NA2, Testosterone-repressed Prostate Message 2, TRPM2, TRPM-2) (Biotin)
Clusterin, also known as apolipoprotein J and sulfated glycoprotein 2, is a multifunctional secreted protein that is widely expressed in tissues. The amino acid sequence of human Clusterin is 98%, 79%, 77%, 76% and 48% identical to that of chimpanzee, canine, rat, mouse and chicken.
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Detection ELISA: 0.5-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma
Fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, NS0-derived, recombinant human Clusterin.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to Asp75-Glu501 of human Clusterin expressed in NS0 cells (NP_001822). Species sequence homology: chimpanzee (98%), canine (79%), rat (77%), mouse (76%), chicken (48%).
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder in PBS, pH 7.4, BSA. Reconstitute with sterile 500ul PBS. Labeled with Biotin.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography from hybridoma culture supernatant.
Specificity
Recognizes human CLU.
