Goat Anti-COG1 (Component of Oligomeric Golgi Complex 1, CDG2G, LDLB, Conserved Oligomeric Golgi Complex Protein 1, Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor Defect B Complementing)
DKFZp762L1710, KIAA1381

The protein encoded by this gene is one of eight proteins (Cog1-8) which form a Golgi-localized complex (COG) required for normal Golgi morphology and function. It is thought that this protein is required for steps in the normal medial and trans Golgi-associated processing of glycoconjugates and plays a role in the organization of the Golgi-localized complex.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:64000 Western Blot: 0.1-0.3ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control
Human Brain (Cerebellum, Amygdala) lysates
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide with sequence C-KAKSTRNIETKAQ, from the internal region of human COG1 (NP_061184.1).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris, pH 7.2, 0.5% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human COG1 at ~100kD.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
