Goat Anti-Collagen Type IV (Arresten, ASLN, ATS, CA54, Canstatin, COL4A1, COL4A2, Collagen Alpha 1(IV) Chain, Collagen Alpha 2(IV) Chain, Collagen IV Alpha 1 Polypeptide, Collagen IV Alpha 2 Polypeptide, Collagen of Basement Membrane Alpha 1 Chain, Collagen of Basement Membrane Alpha 2 Chain, Collagen Type IV Alpha 1, Collagen Type IV Alpha 2, DKFZp686I14213, FLJ22259, Goodpasture antigen) (MaxLight 650)

MaxLight™650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™647, DyLight™649, Cy5™ and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (655nm); Emission (676nm); Extinction Coefficient 250,000.

Applications
Suitable for use in Dot and Slot blot, FLISA, Immunohistochemistry, and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions
*Dot and Slot blot: 1:100-1:500 FLISA: 1:1000-1:4000 *Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:10-1:40 Immunocytochemistry: 1:10-1:20 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
*Note: Harsh chemicals or procedures involving heat may denature collagen epitopes. We recommend avoiding such actions when using this antibody.
Positive Controls
Kidney, muscle, tendon spleen tissue
Negative Control
Neurons/glia
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™650 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Human and bovine placental collagen type IV
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added. Labeled with MaxLight™650.
Purity
Purified by affinity chromatography
Specificity
Recognizes the conformational determinants on human type IV collagen. Less than 10% crossreactivity with collagen types I, II, III, V and VI. May show reactivity to type IV collagen from other species. Has not been tested with other extracellular matrix proteins (e.g., laminin, fibronectin). Species Crossreactivity: bovine and mouse

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
