Rabbit Anti-Collagen Type XVII (BP180, Collagen type XVII alpha 1, COL17A1, 180kD bullous pemphigoid antigen 2, BA16H23.2, BPAG2, Bullous pemphigoid antigen 2, Collagen alpha-1(XVII) chain, FLJ60881, KIAA0204, LAD-1)
COL18A1 is encoding the alpha chain of type XVIII collagen. This collagen is one of the multiplexins, extracellular matrix proteins that contain multiple triple-helix domains (collagenous domains) interrupted by non-collagenous domains. The proteolytically produced C-terminal fragment of type XVIII collagen is endostatin, a potent antiangiogenic protein.
