Rat Anti-Dectin-1 (C-type Lectin Domain Family 7 Member A, Dendritic Cell-associated C-type Lectin 1, DC-associated C-type Lectin 1, Beta-glucan Receptor, beta-GR, C-type Lectin Superfamily Member 12, CLEC7A, BGR, CLECSF12, DECTIN1, UNQ539/PRO1082) (PE)

As a major leukocyte receptor for beta-glucan this molecule may have a key role in the immunomodulatory effects of beta-glucans and in the host response to fungal pathogens. Recent work has shown that Dectin-1 may stimulate reactive oxygen production in macropahges via the protein tyrosine kinase known as Syk.

Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma
Rat Y3 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Fischer rats
Recommended Secondary Antibodies

Recommended Negative Control
I1904-82V4: IgG2b, Rat Negative Control
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Dectin-1 transfected NIH3T3 cells and recombinant soluble Dectin-1.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. Labeled with R-Phycoerythrin (PE).
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography from tissue culture supernatant.
Specificity
Recognizes mouse Dectin-1. Dectin-1 is predominantly expressed by cells of the monocyte/macrophage and neutrophil lineages, but also at lower levels by dendritic cells and a subpopulation of T cells.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
