Rabbit Anti-dUTPase (Deoxyuridine 5'-triphosphate Nucleotidohydrolase, Mitochondrial, dUTP Pyrophosphatase, DUT)

Deoxyuridine triphosphate nucleotidohydrolase (dUTPase) is a ubiquitous enzyme that functions in the hydrolysis of dUTP to dUMP and pyrophosphate. Canman and co-workers have demonstrated that, in certain human tumor cell lines, increased levels of dUTPase are responsible for an increase in resistance to the cancer chemotherapeutic agent fluorodeoxyuridine (FUdR), a thymidine synthase inhibitor. Two distinct forms of dUTPase exist in humans. Cellular fractionation experiments suggest that the more abundant, lower mass form of dUTPase (DUT-N) localizes in the nucleus, while the higher mass form (DUT-M) is associated with the mitochondria.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin):1-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH20. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence mapping at the C-terminal of human dUTPase. Species sequence homology: mouse and rat 92%.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, pH 7.4, 5% BSA, 0.05% thimerosal, 0.05% sodium azide. Reconstitute with 200ul sterile dH2O.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human dUTPase.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
