Mouse Anti-Doc2-alpha (DOC2A)(Double C2-like domain-containing protein alpha, Doc2) (Not for Export EU)

Doc2-alpha is mainly expressed in brain and is suggested to be involved in Ca(2+)-dependent neurotransmitter release. It may also be involved in dynein-dependent intracellular vesicle transport. The cDNA predicts a 400-amino acid protein with relative mass of 44,071 Da and 2 repeated C2-like domains in the C-terminal region. The C2 domain 1 is involved in binding calcium and phospholipids. It is predominantly expressed in the brain but also expressed in testis.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Recombinant human Doc2-alpha (1-400) with a GST tag.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in 50% glycerol.
Purity
Serum
Specificity
Recognizes human DOC2A.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
