Mouse Anti-Ectodermal-neural Cortex Protein 1 (ENC-1, p53-induced Gene 10 Protein, Nuclear Matrix Protein NRP/B, NRPB, PIG10)
Ectodermal-neural Cortex Protein 1, ENC1, Nuclear Matrix Protein NRP/B, NRPB, p53-induced Gene 10 Protein, PIG10

ENC-1 is an actin-binding protein involved in the regulation of neuronal process formation and in differentiation of neural crest cells. It is a substrate-specific adapter of an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex which mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target protein. It is detected in fetal brain tissue, moderate expression in fetal heart, lung and kidney. It is highly exprssed in adult brain, especially in the hippocampus and amygdala, and spinal cord. It is dramatically up-regulated upon neuronal differentiation.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. Aliquot and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Partial recombinant human ENC-1 (aa17-98) with a GST tag.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder in PBS, pH 7.2. Reconstitute with 100ul sterile ddH2O.
Purity
Purified by affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human ENC-1.
