Mouse Anti-Erythrocytes
Erythrocytes contain hemoglobin and transports oxygen and CO2 in the blood back and forth from tissues and the lungs. More commonly known as a red blood cell (RBCs).
Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Flow Cytometry: Reactive with unfixed cells or paraformaldehyde fixed cell preparations. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Liver cells from 20-22 week-old human fetuses
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.05% sodium azide.
Specificity
Recognizes human Erythrocytes. Shows a well defined reactivity with cells of the erythroid lineage at all stages of maturation in the peripheral blood, bone marrow and fetal liver. Non-erythroid lineages are negative. Although the exact identity of the antigen has not yet been determined, it has been shown to be distinct from glycophorin A.
