Goat Anti-FGR (Tyrosine-protein Kinase Fgr, Gardner-Rasheed Feline Sarcoma Viral (v-fgr) Oncogene Homolog, Proto-oncogene c-Fgr, p55-Fgr, p58-Fgr, p58c-Fgr, SRC2)

FGR is a member of the Src family of protein tyrosine kinases (PTKs). This protein contains N-terminal sites for myristylation and palmitylation, a PTK domain, and SH2 and SH3 domains which are involved in mediating protein-protein interactions with phosphotyrosine-containing and proline-rich motifs, respectively. It localizes to plasma membrane ruffles, and functions as a negative regulator of cell migration and adhesion triggered by the beta-2 integrin signal transduction pathway. Infection with Epstein-Barr virus results in the overexpression of this protein.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:1000 Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml, mouse spleen extracts observed at ~60kD bands Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to C-TSAEPQYQPGDQT, from mouse FGR, at C-terminal (NP_001036194.1, NP_001036212.1, NP_005239.1).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes mouse FGR. Species sequence homology: Canine, human and rat.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
