Mouse Anti-Flag (DYKDDDDK) Epitope Tag

Epitope tags are useful for the labeling and detection of proteins using immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation and immunostaining techniques. Due to their small size, they are unlikely to affect the tagged protein’s biochemical properties. The DYKDDDDK peptide has been used extensively as a general epitope tag in expression vectors.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to DYKDDDK, conjugated KLH.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes Flag (DYKDDDDK) epitope tag. Recognizes DDDDK-tagged proteins in all species. The small size of this tag and its high hydrophilicity decreases the probability of interference with its expression, proteolytic maturation, antigenicity, localization and function.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
