Rabbit Anti-G3BP-1 (GTPase-Activating Protein-Binding Protein 1, GAP SH3 Domain-Binding Protein 1, ATP-dependent DNA helicase VIII, HDH-VIII)

G3BP1 (Ras-GTPase activating protein SH3-domain binding protein 1) directly associates with SH3 domains of GTPase activating proteins (GAPs). It was first discovered by its binding to RasGAP. G3BPs have been shown to be involved in a number of mitogenic signaling pathways. G3BP1 is also known to be over expressed in many human cancers (Kim, 2007) and its expression appears to be inversely correlated with PTEN expression (Kim, 2007). Interestingly, G3BP1, along with G3BP2, has been shown to bind to the C-terminus of p53, playing a crucial role in its activity (Kim, 2007). Furthermore, the G3BPs have two traditional RNA binding motifs.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:50-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthesized non-phosphopeptide derived from human G3BP-1 around the phosphorylation site of serine 232 (S-S-SP-P-A).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM sodium chloride, 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes endogenous levels of total human G3BP-1 protein.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
