Goat Anti-GABA A Receptor alpha 4 (GABA(A) receptor subunit alpha 4, GABR A4, GABRA4, Gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) A receptor alpha 4)

GABAA receptors are ligand-gated chloride channels that play a role as inhibitory neurotransmitters. because a number of drugs interact with binding sites on GABA (A). Some of these drugs include benzodiazepines, anticonvulsants, and anesthetics.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:16,000 Western Blot: 0.1-0.3ug/ml. ~70kD band observed in Human Brain (Cerebellum and Frontal Cortex) lysates (MW 61.6kD). Immunohistochemistry(Paraffin): 2-4ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to C-EKAKRKTSKPPQE of human GABA A Receptor alpha 4 from the internal region. Species sequence homology: bovine.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris saline, pH 7.2, 0.5% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by peptide affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human GABRA4.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
