Goat Anti-GCC2 (GRIP and Coiled-coil Domain-containing Protein 2, 185kD Golgi Coiled-coil Protein, GCC185, CLL-associated Antigen KW-11, CTCL Tumor Antigen se1-1, Ran-binding Protein 2-like 4,RanBP2L4, Renal Carcinoma Antigen NY-REN-53, KIAA0336, RANBP2L4)

Golgin which probably tethers transport vesicles to the trans-Golgi network (TGN) and regulates vesicular transport between the endosomes and the Golgi. As a RAB9A effector it is involved in recycling of the mannose 6-phosphate receptor from the late endosomes to the TGN. May also play a role in transport between the recycling endosomes and the Golgi. Required for maintenance of the Golgi structure, it is involved in the biogenesis of noncentrosomal, Golgi-associated microtubules through recruitment of CLASP1 and CLASP2.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:16,000 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 3-6ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to C-QKLTNKNNKIED, from human GCC2, at the internal region of the protein (NP_055450.1, NP_852118.1).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human GCC2. Species sequence homology: Rat.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
