Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000 Labels a single protein band of 39-42kD in bovine and rat membranes. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Rat brain G-proteins purified by the method of Sternweis and Robishaw.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Ascites.
Specificity
Recognizes Gia-1: rat (100%), mouse (78%), bovine (74%) and guinea pig (48%). Slight reactivity with human (31%). Specificity confirmed by Western blot versus bovine Gat, rat Goa, rat Gia-1, Gia-2, rat Gia-3, bovine Gsa and mouse GoaA and GoaB.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
